Sixteen Hampton runners complete St. Kateri's Run with the Son for Haiti 5K
Sixteen athletes from Hampton completed the St. Kateri's Run with the Son for Haiti 5K on Dec. 1 in Tabb.
The runners from Hampton and their finishing times were David P. Lockard, 43, 17:56; Joe Garrity, 49, 20:11; Christopher Fryrear, 20, 22:22; Susan Dickerson, 26, 22:30; Natalie Bowen, 26, 22:55; Eugene Thies, 58, 23:39; Bryan Mowery, 37, 23:43; Thea M. Ganoe, 54, 25:35; Laura Davidson, 51, 28:52; Leon Nolley, 51, 30:17; Michelle Nolley, 51, 30:17; Tracey Atteberry, 42, 32:24; Amy Watterman, 37, 35:57; Bob Curtin Jr., 60, 38:52; Charlotte Pirnik, 10, 40:00; and Marie Pirnik, 42, 40:05.
According to race organizers, a total of 211 runners finished the 5K race, which began and ended at St. Kateri South Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 800 Big Bethel Road, Tabb.
Todd Kessler of Newport News, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 17:18, while Karen Terry, of Newport News, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 17:30.
