15 Hampton runners complete Marine Corps Marathon
Fifteen athletes from Hampton completed the Marine Corps Marathon Oct. 28 in Arlington.
The runners from Hampton and their finishing times were Wayne Henry, 42, 3:50:48; Steven Goetsch, 44, 4:09:10; Brian Slusser, 28, 4:16:41; Marquis Morant, 25, 4:33:57; Manuel D. Martinez, 37, 4:38:16; Matthew Breden, 41, 4:38:50; Erik Wilson, 36, 4:45:38; Naomi Reynolds, 26, 4:53:08; Bridget Breden, 40, 4:58:42; Arianna Green, 21, 5:27:09; Felix Stafford, 42, 5:35:26; Jobette Rosati, 35, 5:42:14; Kimberly Atkins, 49, 6:15:34; Jeff Holmes, 49, 6:25:29; Joy Golston, 35, 6:29:17.
Race organizers said 23,520 runners finished the 26.2-mile race.
Augustus Maiyo, of Colorado Springs, Colo., won the race with a time of 2:20:20. Hirut Guanqul, of Ellicott City, Md., won the women's division in 2:42:03.
