One Appalachian Christmas scheduled for Dec. 15
One Appalachian Christmas, sponsored by the Hampton Convention & Visitor Bureau, will be held Saturday, Dec. 15 at The American Theatre.
Shows will be held at both 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
According to the organization, "In 1936, there were two friends that were afraid that 'Santy Claus' wouldn't come to their poor little town in the Appalachian Mountains. With the determination to make the best holiday and with some hard work and help of family and friends, they learned that the best Christmases don't come from a mail ordering catalogue."

The American Theatre is at 125 E. Mellen St.
